Sample Itinerary
 

The itinerary below is geared for families who wish to fit in as much activities and site seeing as possible. For families who would prefer a slower paced trip or would like to focus on specific locations/topics, I will custom make your itinerary accordingly. If you plan to visit Israel for a shorter amount of time, then it is possible to choose any specific days from the itinerary below.

Dome of the Rock

Day 1: Jerusalem’s Old City

The tour focuses on the historic part of the city, and visiting sites that help us understand the sanctity of Jerusalem to Jews, Christians and Muslims. There is no other city in the world that is sacred to more than half of the world’s population! 

  • A beautiful 360 lookout from the Tower of David

  • St. James Monastery (at the Armenian Quarter)

  • The room of the Last Supper = Cenaculum (on Mt. Zion)

  • Dormition Abbey

  • The Roman/Byzantine Cardo

  • The Broad Wall (at the Jewish Quarter)

  • The Western Wall

  • Via Dolorosa = Stations of the Cross (at the Muslim and Christian Quarters)

  • Church of Holy Sepulcher (at the Christian Quarter)

  • Arab Bazar (Market)

  • More additions if time permits: Western Wall Tunnels Tour, Ramparts Walk, Rooftops

  • More churches, archeological sites can be added according to your interest

Overnight: Jerusalem 

Day 2: Jerusalem’s Sacred Basin

Today’s tour takes us to the most ancient sections of the city which are part of Jerusalem’s Sacred Basin. We will be walking more than any other day, seeing the archeology and feeling the history in every step we take. This day is especially meant for history/archeological buffs or religious adherents. 

  • Mt. of Olives lookout

  • Dominus Flevit Church

  • Gethsemane and the Church of All Nations

  • Necropolis at the Josaphat Valley

  • City of David

  • Hezekiah’s Tunnel

  • Davidson Center

  • Southern Steps

  • St. Peter in Gallicantu (If your legs aren’t killing you at this point)

Overnight: Jerusalem
